Sintered mesh laminates are high strength porous materials. It is made of stainless steel or other alloys. Single or multi-layer woven wire mesh is permanently bonded together by a unique diffusion bonding technique. Sintered mesh laminates offer additional benefits such as stability and mechanical strength compared to conventional wire mesh. Therefore, it is widely constructed as a filter medium in many industries.

Depending on the number of layers, sintered mesh laminates can be divided into two series: single layer sintered mesh laminates and multilayer sintered mesh laminates.

It is well known that single-layer woven mesh has some disadvantages, although it is used for a wide range of applications, the mesh has a tendency to wear edges, and the wire may move within the weave, which in turn changes the overall structure and also affects the filter rating because Its aperture has been compromised.

The sintering process, a combination of heat and pressure, produces molecular diffusion welding at each "intersection" in the wire mesh, where the wires cross and under one another, thereby filling the wire mesh with enhanced mechanical and filtration properties. .

Taking a 10×10 plain weave wire mesh as an example, the cross-sectional view shows significant changes after sintering and after weaving the wire mesh.
